The whole place did nothing to help me all they did was talk about ask me the same thing over and over again..

I've been a patient of Merideth Hake for over 10 years and she is BY FAR the gold standard! She is BRILLIANT! She stays way ahead of the research in her field of expertise. She also sees both of my children. Without her professional recommendations and advice we would be lost. She encouraged me to have genetic testing performed for both of my children. After getting the results back she identified that both of my children have a gene mutation that has been contributing to their life altering anxiety and sensory disorders. Best news is that this mutation is easily treated with a specific dosage and type of B-vitamin. This been life changing for both my children and our entire house has significantly more peace and calmness! I'm extremely selective in my choice of doctors (I've fired many over the years) so trust me if I've been her patient for 10+ years, you can't go wrong!

I can't say enough great things about the whole office. They have all been so wonderful and helped us through very challenging times with my son. I know he wouldn't be the extraordinary young man he is now had it not been for Mary Lynn Hake and everyone else there.

Spent half my son's appointment talking about billing, then bills above the contracted rate for treatments that didn't take place.;

On April 29, 2016. I got a letter from The Costello Clinic, it was about them discontinuing my service and dropping my son from their care for which he had been coming since he was in the 4th grade that is about 11 or 12 years. I immediately called the office and spoke with Pilar and asked her why where they dropping my son from their services. She stated that "they called me several times to do a follow up visit and I never returned their calls". I told her that I never got a call from them, I have two phones, a house phone and a cell phone and no messages were left in the month of March and April. They claim they give follow-up calls but they don't. My numbers has not changed in over twenty-five years. I then told her that every since they got this new staff that they have been horrible. Pilar then says to me "then why are you still coming?". I told her it was "not because of her award winning personality", it was because of the care that my son had been receiving for the long years that we had invested our hard earn money from our pockets to pay for his services and the doctors were good. I told her that she was unprofessional and that I needed to talk with Dr. Costello or Mr. Van Hoof.

That following Monday, May 2, 2016, I called to speak with the office manager, who I was told was in a meeting. I told her what happened about how rude Pilar was to me and how since they took over the office how horrible some of their staff were. Well, she told me that Mr. Van Hoof was aware of the letter that was sent to terminate my son's care. She even blamed me for the disrespect of Pilar saying it was both of our faults why the issue started, I told her it was Pilar who was rude and why are you blaming me. As I was explaining to the office manager what happened, she then says "I'm not going to argue with you". I said to myself, who's arguing? She was not much help either. Not once did I get an apology from this behavior. I was crying over the phone because they just threw my son out from their services like a "dog in the street". Then she proceeded to tell me that the computer said, I cancelled a March appointment in December which was a lie. I cancelled my appointment 2 days prior on March 9, the appointment was on March 11. I have never missed an appointment 3 months or more. They were not even professional enough to send a follow-up letter if they couldn't reach me by phone. I also requested to talk to Dr. Costello, they always lie and say that he does not return any phone calls, but if he gets the message he will. This new office staff will not give any messages for the doctor to return your calls even if you've been a customer like me for 12 years or more. I then told her that the former staff was an excellent and professional staff and that this new staff was horrible.

I was crying over the phone and the office manager sarcastically says to me "I hope those are tears of joy" because they thought I was happy that I was re-scheduling an appointment with them again. But those tears were the fact that I had been treated like trash and disrespected by an office staff and my son was now being thrown out from their services like a "dog in the street". Well, I found a new doctor and cancelled my appointment that I had scheduled and told them to forward my records to the new doctor. Let me tell you the office secretary seemed so glad to forward my records to the new doctor. After about 11 or 12 years of my husband and I investing our hard earn money to get care for my son. Neither Dr. Costello or Mr. Van Hoof has called to say anything.
